Notes:
There are very few images of this object so I was not sure about what I was
going to find. The nebula is very blue and pretty small surrounding the
yellowish variable Oph 212 (F). I was hoping of finding some serious dust around
but I was disappointed. Something can be vaguely discerned south and north of
the nebula but it is quite faint and featureless so I did not made any serious
attempt at taking it out of the background. A couple of small galaxies frame the
nebula. Not much to write home about...
Telescope and camera: ASA 10', f 3.6; SBIG STL 11000.
Exposure: Luminance 44x8'; R 12x10'; G 13x8'; B 9x10'. About 8 hrs total.
Date: Six nights on March and Mayl 2011, while waiting for better stuff to rise...
Software used: acquisition, CCDsoft, FocusMax, CCDcommander, The Sky VI. Calibration; registration and stacking: CCDstack, Registar; processing: PixInsight 1.6, Photoshop CS.
Processing notes: not much to report. Boring object boring processing.
